DIY – AVOCADO DEEP CONDITIONER

Hi guys, Welcome back to MEINME Blog😁. Today’s DIY is really simple and can be used on both natural and relaxed hair. There are other types of deep conditioners but i love this Avocado deep conditioner best, because as a natural it softens my hair and also defines my curls. Avocado helps to soften the hair, soothes the scalp and it promotes healthy hair growth. Coconut milk nourishes the hair keeping it shiny and smooth. Aloe Vera cleanses and gets rid of dandruff in the hair. Honey moisturizes the scalp and also promotes growth.

Materials Needed:

Ripe Avocado, coconut milk, Aloe Vera, Honey, Lemon, Oils(Olive, Castor, Thyme, Coconut)

  1. Open up your ripe avocado and scope out the meat into a bowl.

    2. To make coconut milk, cut the coconut meat into tiny pieces then blend or grate. Add warm water to the blended meat, allow it to cool then sieve into a bowl.

    3. Peel the aloe Vera to get out the gel.

    4. Add the avocado, aloe vera gel, coconut milk then blend together, after blending sieve in order not to get particles into your hair😱(Learnt that lesson the hard way😂) The consistency of the solution is can be thick or light depending on how much coconut milk you add.

    5. You can now add your honey, oils and lemon. I used Olive oil, thyme oil, coconut oil and castor. You don’t necessarily have to use all these oils, you can use any oil you have, you could also skip the lemon if you like. Divide your hair into sections and apply. Cover your hair with a shower cap then sit under a dryer to apply heat  for 10-20 minutes. Cover your hair with a shower cap, then scarf  for about an hour to use your body heat then rinse with warm water, then cold water to close your pores.

P.S I shampoo my hair before deep conditioning, I only rinse after deep conditioning and then I add leave in conditioner.
